~ Meet the Writer ~

My name is Bethany Joy Rogers, and I am an avid lover of life. I adore people - and finding the weird quirks in people, the kind of quirks that somehow manage to set an individual apart as well as make him/her absolutely beautiful in one sweeping force. You see, I have never been a strong condoner of normality. Normal, essentially, is synonymous with boring. But hey, no worries, even if you're normal, there's about a 100% chance that I'll love you anyway.

Simplicity is exquisite. It comes teeming with an abundance of sweet extravagance, and I am enthralled by this. Reading is the coolest in my opinion. Oh! and writing. Which, coincidentally, is how this very blog originated. I have a passion for traveling, for succumbing to the fact that what lies before you at the moment is but a mere speck in the grand scheme of this earth. Although I am very much in love with the world in which I live, I must admit that I've been finding more and more that my soul is a bit too old for these modern times, but I am working on that a tad. Actually not really, but that is alright for now.

Nature is such a treasure; I suppose that's why I love being out in it. Running, biking, picking flowers. You name it. I love taking advantage of this extraordinary world our God has created. Because wow, is God ever good. I will never be able to fathom how utterly amazing Jesus Christ is, and He is such a prevalent part of my life. I love the idea that a woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man must seek Him in order to find her. Frankly, I am all about my Savior and surrendering all I am for who He is. It's a crazy & liberating phenomenon, one that I will never be able to fully comprehend but one for which I am forever grateful.

Insomnia is a good friend of mine. I've become infatuated with the inexplicable grandeur that the middle of the night entails. Ah, so lovely. It provides me a considerable amount of extra thinking time, and this is both good & bad. But who can deny the beauty of the night sky? Or that sweet feeling that comes from watching night turn to day before your very eyes, ringing in the dawn of dawn while clutching a cup of warm coffee? Yes; a lack of sleep has proved to be nothing but a blessing.

So welcome to my world. Here's to happiness & laughter & spontaneity & a little hint of sarcasm here and there. Thanks for stopping by. You're a gem.

- Bethany

Peace and blessings to all. And happy reading. ♥
